Belmont Rising 2015

2015 Belmont Rising is now in production. This annual event is part of One Billion Rising, which is a campaign that addresses the issue of violence against women. This year's Belmont Rising will be produced as a series of five episodes from now until May and then finishing up production in the fall. These shows will consist of panel discussions on topics regarding domestic violence, as well as musical and dance performances.

The first episode is now on the air, featuring a panel discussion on what abuse looks like and recent legislation on domestic violence. The panel features moderator Maggie Rose March, Lt. Kristin Daley from Belmont Police Department, and Michele Penta from the Family Safety Project. Also included are two performances by the Bel-Aires.

Belmont Rising will air on channels 9 (Comcast) and 29 (Verizon) during the following dates and times:

Fridays at 7:00 PM

Saturdays at 6:00 PM

Tuesdays at 7:30 PM
