Volunteer Opportunities!

ELECTION BELMONT  -  BMC will be producing a live election program, which will provide analysis and present results of the Congressional elections. We are looking for a volunteer crew to assist with the coverage. We need three camera operators, an audio person and director. HENRY’S BASEBALL SHOW  -  Henry Munevar is looking for a volunteer crew for his upcoming show on Wednesday, October 16th. This is a talk show that discusses various sports topics. He is looking for a director, audio person and camera operators. If anyone would like to learn how to direct, please schedule a training session with a staff person. CONTEMPORARY SCIENCE ISSUES  -  Yvonne Stapp needs a director for her October 22nd taping of "Contemporary Science Issues and Innovations." This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to learn how to direct. If you never directed a show but want to learn, you may schedule a training session with one of the staff prior to the show. SPELLING BEE  -  It’s that time of year where the Foundation for Belmont Education will be hosting its 13th annual youth spelling bee. Each year, students in grades K-6 demonstrate their spelling abilities, participating in competitive and non-competitive contests. This year’s spelling bee will take place on Saturday, November 2nd from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m at the Belmont High School Auditorium. Belmont Media Center will once again be covering the event and cablecasting it live on channels 8 (Comcast) and 28 (Verizon). We are looking for volunteer camera operators to assist us with the coverage. There will be two volunteers shifts: The first shift will be from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. The second will be from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Volunteers will be expected to show up no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of their shift.
