SPELLING BEE - It’s that time of year where the Foundation for Belmont Education will be hosting its 13th annual youth spelling bee. Each year, students in grades K-6 demonstrate their spelling abilities, participating in competitive and non-competitive contests. This year’s spelling bee will take place on Saturday, November 2nd from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m at the Belmont High School Auditorium. Belmont Media Center will once again be covering the event and cablecasting it live on channels 8 (Comcast) and 28 (Verizon). We are looking for volunteer camera operators to assist us with the coverage. There will be two volunteers shifts: The first shift will be from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. The second will be from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Volunteers will be expected to show up no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of their shift.
