Thanks to Volunteers & Photojournalism Lecture

We would like to thank Deniz Dutton and Aygul Balcioglu for covering the recent Music on Saturdays concert at the Belmont Public Library.

PHOTOJOURNALISM LECTURE

Photographer Diane Covert will give a lecture about how Photoshop and other image altering tools has played a role in photojournalism. Ms. Covert will show examples from the history of art photography to describe how certain poses, lenses, and uses of light create the illusion of dignity, power, evil or helplessness. Modern examples of image staging and image alternation will be presented and discussed.

This presentation will be held at the Belmont Media Center on Thursday, March 1st at 7:00 PM, and is free and open to the public. It will be taped in front of a live audience in Studio A. Volunteers will be needed in the taping of this lecture. We are looking for camera operators and an audio person.
