CANDIDATE DEBATES at BMC
BMC will be taping two debates for candidates running for Board of Selectmen and School Committee seats. The taping will be held at BMC on Tuesday, March 20th. Each debate will last for one hour with the first debate starting at 5:00 PM and the second starting at 6:30 PM. We are looking for volunteers to operate studio cameras and audio. Belmont League of Women Voters CANDIDATES NIGHT
BMC will be covering the League of Women Voters’ Candidates’ Night and we are looking for volunteers to assist us with the coverage. The event will be held at the Chenery Middle School Auditorium on Thursday, March 22nd at 7:30 PM. This will be a live multi-camera production. We will need two camera operators. On Monday April 2nd, BMC will be producing a live election program, which will cover town election results and analysis. The program will begin at 8:00 p.m. and will run for about 1 - 1 1/2 hours. SENIOR SCENE
We are looking for volunteers to assist us with the next taping of "Senior Scene." This talk show produced by the MA Office of Elder Affairs explores various issues regarding senior citizens. We are looking for camera operators, an audio person, and teleprompter operator. BUTLER TALENT SHOW
BMC is looking for a volunteer camera-person to videotape the Butler Talent Show. This is a fun event where elementary students showcase their talent in music, dance, comedy...etc. The talent show will take place at the Butler School Auditorium on Saturday, April 14th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. HOMETOWN VIDEO AWARDS
The Alliance for Community Media is now accepting submissions for the 2012 Hometown Video Awards. All community access producers are encouraged to submit any show that was produced and aired between January 1, 2011 and December 31, 2011. BMC is a member of Alliance for Community Media, so any producer submitting will be eligible for the membership fee. Be sure to list Belmont Media Center as the organization you are affiliated with. Submission fee is $50 if submission is uploaded online and $70 if mailing a DVD. BMC would be willing to pay for half of the submission fee for one submission. Just give us a receipt and we will reimburse you for half of the fee. To apply online, visit www.allcommunitymedia.org.
The submission deadline is April 2nd.
