Reminder: "One Billion Rising" This Thursday
Just a reminder that Belmont’s “One Billion Rising”will take place this Thursday, February 14th starting at 2:00pm at the Belmont Media Center. One Billion Rising is a program that calls for an end to violence against women and supports both local and international efforts to end violence against women. This event is being organized by Belmont Republic Women and will have musical and dance performances throughout the day. Featured guests will include Belmont’s own BelAires, Bharathakalai School of Dance,Fred Astaire Dance Studio and guest speakers
BMC is still looking for volunteers to help us record the event. We are looking for camera operators, an audio person and a technical director to run the switching. This event will run from 2:00 – 5:00pm. Even if you can only volunteer for an hour, we would appreciate the help. If interested, please call 617-484-2443 or email julie@belmontmedia.org.
