The House met in an informal session to advance bills regulating insurance claims, authorizing additional liquor licenses in East Bridgewater and designating asparagus as the official vegetable, and the American lobster as the official crustacean, of the Commonwealth. The House also enacted a bill to dedicate a South Boston park in honor of Admiral David G. Farragut, and a field space in honor of Walter Rosher and Gerald McCarthy. The House engrossed several bills impacting the communities of North Carver, Barnstable and North Attleboro.
