The State Library Author Talk Series hosted Stephanie Schorow, to discuss her book, "A Boston Harbor Islands Adventure: The Great Brewster Journal of 1891." In the book, Schorow recounts the seventeen-day journey of the "Merrie Trippers," 4 women from Lowell who traveled together to escape their traditional roles as wives, mothers, and daughters. The book uses snippets of their journal, photographs, and illustrations to reveal a unique slice of Boston history. Running Time: 55 minutes.
