BHS lead guidance counselor, Jim Brown, outlines the college entrance process over four years at BHS. He talks about when to take the SAT and ACT exams, application timetables, etc. He describes how the student can work with the guidance department to succeeded in this process.

Hosted by the Belmont High School Guidance Department, the program goes over all of the steps juniors and seniors must complete to apply for college and lays out a timetable. It explains in detail how the NAVIANCE software program helps students manage this process.

Former BHS Alumna and Tufts Assistant Director of Admissions, Meredith Reynolds, talks about college applications from the college perspective. She explains how colleges choose between students with similar academic records. Also discussed is what Tufts looks for in the written essay, as well as tips for writing the essay.

A discussion on applying to college and financing college. Includes a presentation by Bob Mahoney, President and CEO of Belmont Savings Bank and Dr. Laurie Nash, an independent educational consultant. This event is presented by the Belmont After-School Enrichment Collaborative and Belmont Savings Bank.
