"The Life and Poetry of Avrom Sutzkever
Geoffrey Brahmer continues his lecture series with "The Life and Poetry of Avrom Sutzkever." Sutzkever is a poet and a survivor of the Vilna Ghetto. His poems illuminate the experience of living and dying in the holocaust. His post-war poems depict his journey as a living witness, coming to grips with his memories and the meaning of the Holocaust in his own life, as well as in every generation. The presentation, filmed in front of a live studio audience, will include readings of Sutzkever’s poems by members of the community.
This presentation will take place at Belmont Media Center’s Studio A on Wednesday, October 22nd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
BMC is looking for volunteer camera operators to help us record the lecture. If interested, please call 617-484-2443 or email julie@belmontmedia.org.
