Science for the Public Programming Marathon on June 29th.

 

On Saturday, June 29th BMC will be airing a Science for the Public Programming marathon on channels 9 (Comcast) and 29 (Verizon). Science for the Public is an organization committed to educating the public about various science topics and issues. Public Science Lectures and Contemporary Science Issues and Innovations are two science programs produced by Yvonne Stapp, President of Science for the Public. This program marathon will run from 12 – 7 p.m. on channels 9 and 29.

Each show is about an hour and will run in the following order:

12-1pm: History of the Universe in One Hour

1-2pm: Impact of Climate Change on Birds and Plants in MA

2-3pm: Update from the Large Hadron Collider: The Higgs?

3-4pm: Solar Thermoelectric Alternative Energy

4-5pm: Bionic Being: The New Prosthetics

5-6pm: Two Paul Steinhardt Projects: The “Cyclic Universe” and “Quasicrystals

6-7pm: Mapping the Milky Way
