"Forgotten" Equipment

Anonymous

In doing some summer cleaning and organizing I found some potentially useful "forgotten" equipment that has been tucked away in storage.

First is a two sided (white/gold) folding reflector panel.  Sometimes you are in a location that could benefit from just a little extra light, but you don't want to bring an entire bulky light kit.  If you have an extra hand try using the reflector to "bounce" some nice soft light onto your subject by reflecting light from an existing light source.  This technique is very useful outside to help fill-in shadows caused by direct, bright sunlight.

We also have a folding, portable green screen.  Green screen takes a little training to get right.  Would recommend practicing in the studio a few times before going out in the field.

Speaking of lighting, in addition to our large field kit, we also have a small, camera-mounted, LED Light.  This battery powered light is perfect for conducting single camera, news-style, interviews in locations that may be a little too dark, ie: a night club or outside after dark.

With new gear coming in and more planned, its easy to forget about some of the cool stuff we already have.  Come on down and check it out.
