2013 BMC Annual Members Meeting & Dinner

Monday, November18th - 6:30pm to 8:30pm 9 Lexington Street, Belmont in Waverley Square

Light supper and refreshments at 6:30pm. The meeting will commence at 7pm. This year we will saying goodbye to founding board members Jonathan Green and Myron Kassaraba, and welcoming new board members Scott Stratford and Carol Yelverton.The guest speaker will be Belmont's own multi-facted and much talented Greg Stone. BMC CLOSED FOR CONFERENCE

This Friday, October 25th, BMC will be CLOSED so that our staff, board and volunteers can attend a Massachusetts community media conference in Boston. BMC will reopen on Saturday, October 26th for normal operating hours 12pm to 5pm.We apologize for any inconvenience, If you have a special request for equipment or facilities please call BMC at 617-484-2443.

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

THE ROGERS REPORT - We are looking for a couple of camera operators and audio person for the next taping of “The Rogers Report.” This is a new show produced by MA State Representative Dave Rogers. On this show, Dave presents a report from the state house and then interviews a guest. The taping will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23rd. SPELLING BEE  -  It’s that time of year where the Foundation for Belmont Education will be hosting its 13th annual youth spelling bee. Each year, students in grades K-6 demonstrate their spelling abilities, participating in competitive and non-competitive contests. This year’s spelling bee will take place on Saturday, November 2nd from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Belmont Media Center will once again be covering the event and cablecasting it live on channels 8 (Comcast) and 28 (Verizon). We are looking for volunteer camera operators to assist us with the coverage. There will be two volunteers shifts: The first shift will be from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. The second will be from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Volunteers will be expected to show up no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of their shift. THROUGH THE LENS  -  The producers of Through the Lens are looking for a camera operator and audio personfor their upcoming taping on Friday, November 8th at 8:00 p.m. Crew call will be at 7:30 p.m. This is a fun show for those who love movies! GEOFFREY BRAHMER LECTURE  -  Geoffrey Brahmer will be holding another one of his lectures at the Belmont Media Center on Thursday, November 14th at 6:00 p.m. We are looking for a director, camera operators and audio person to help us cover the lecture. BASEBALL DINNER  -  Henry Munevar is looking for a volunteer camera operator for the 2013 Granite State Baseball Dinner with the AA Fisher Cats. The camera operator will be working with Henry to videotape interviews with dinner attendees. There will be 25 celebrities and 1200 baseball fans attending. The dinner will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 4:00 p.m. at the Radison Expo Center in Manchester, NH.
