2018 BMC Annual Meeting & Dinner
Dear friends,
You are warmly invited to the BMC’s 2018 Annual Membership Meeting & Dinner to be held Wednesday, November 28th from 6pm to 8:30pm in Waverley Square at 9 Lexington Street.
This year we are honored to have Belmont’s own Paul Boghosian as our featured speaker for the evening. Paul is president of Harborside Films, a producer of movies, television, and theater, and whose most recent work, “The Four Mrs. Hemingways” is in development for the stage. Paul has also been long involved with the BoSox Club. BMC-TV producer & host Todd Bloniarz will interview Paul and they will take questions from the audience.
The evening will unfurl at 6pm with appetizers and refreshments, with a buffet dinner commencing at 6:30pm. Food & drinks provided by local establishments including: The Spirited Gourmet, Art’s Specialties, Craft Beer Cellars, Damnation Alley Distillery. And once again, authentic, home-made chocolate mousse will be donated by Sophie Launay Hansell.
The annual meeting will be gaveled to order by BMC Board Chair Mike Tymm at 7:15pm.
Former Selectman, BMC producer and treasurer Angelo Firenze will be honored for his service to the board of directors. The Board will also welcome new member Ralph Jones, who was recently appointed by the Board of Selectmen.
BMC Podcasters will be recognized for their significant contributions over the past year including: Eileen Maksym of Hopeless Fancast, Gilchrist Imboywa and The Humble High School Podcast crew, and Roger Colton of Community Conversations.
Finally, the very first “Ottavio Award for Outstanding Video Volunteer” will be announced.
Executive Director Jeff Hansell will present a brief year-in-review and venture a look into the near future and provide the latest news in public policy.
