Are you interested in how a state of the art TV studio operates?  Maybe you’d like to be on a crew, but need some practice with the cameras?  Or you’ve mastered the camera but now want to run the audio board or graphics?

Our Studio Production workshop is a fun, fast-paced learning lab where you can bring your questions, rotate through the studio crew positions and get feedback and direction from experienced staff and producers.  The curriculum will vary depending on the student’s needs and abilities, and is open to any BMC member or volunteer who wishes to improve their skills.

Creating a television program or film always requires hard work from a team of people dedicated to the project.  Join BMC’s Producer’s Forum to discuss, collaborate and develop your projects with other producers and members. 

This meet-up is a fun, relaxed and open space to cover any and all issues that producers face – be it group critiques to improve a project, networking, brainstorming or anything else you can dream up!   The members of the Producer’s Forum will discuss and set an agenda each month based on the interests of the group.

Have you ever wondered how all those graphics on your television screen worked?  Or pondered over how to switch from one camera to another?  Maybe you’d just like to add more flair to your program.  All of this is possible and more by learning how to use the Broadcast Pix System at BMC. 

You’ve run the studio cameras, punched the buttons on the switcher, watched the needles bounce on the audio mixer, and you’ve called the shots on a few shows.  That means you’re ready to learn the art of studio direction.  Challenge yourself and advance your skills to a new level by combining available technology and show format to tell a story; all the better with which to engage your audience!
