Seeking an Instructor for a Youth Program

Anonymous

Belmont Media Center (BMC) seeks a filmmaker with teaching experience (or a teacher with filmmaking experience) to lead a 10 day youth video workshop.  Up to 8 middle school aged Belmont students will be gathering at our studio facility from July 15 - 26 (Mon-Fri only) from 9-4pm each day to learn how to make a movie.

This will be a very hands on workshop, so the candidate must be comfortable with helping the students with practical use of the equipment, script writing, set building, etc. The curriculum is designed to be flexible with your teaching style, but does have a few requirements on our end; namely an emphasis on media literacy for the students. We are also working to bring in several guest speakers who can talk about their various fields - journalism, commercial and fiction.

Belmont Youth Video Challenge - July 15-26, 9-4pm (Mon-Fri only)

Compensation is DOE.

Please contact Rachel Wiederhoeft, Marketing & Administration Manager at BMC, at rachel@belmontmedia.org or 617/484-2443 to apply.
