Director's Workshop

Want to sit in the driver's seat? This workshop will take you through the role of the director. Learn the art behind directing a live (or live-to-tape) shoot, including communicating with your crew effectively, switching between camera shots seamlessly, and calling up graphics that enhance your final production. 

If you've ever volunteered for a live shoot, like a Town Meeting, Spelling Bee, or Studio Show, and wondered how the director commands the show, this is the class for you! After taking this class, students will be certified to run the Broadcast Pix switchers in Studio A and B.
