Why They Left is a project that explores why groups of people fled their host country. The first phase focuses on the mass movement of Jews from Eastern Europe to the United States in the latter part of the 19th century and the early decades of the 20th century. They fled the pogroms of that era in greater Russia - Ukraine and the surrounding regions. Through documentary photographs of the unfolding pogroms, history, and family lore we learn why so many Jewish people left Eastern Europe and made the difficult crossing to America. Most American Jews are descendants of refugees from the pogroms of Eastern Europe.
X-Ray Project: Inside Terrorism is a photography exhibit that uses actual X-Rays and Ct Scans from the two largest hospitals in Jerusalem to explore the most important social issue of our time: the effects of terrorism on a civilian population
